I recently got to adventure to Los Angeles. While I was there, I went to the Fabric District. This place is like heaven for sewers! So many shops upon shops of fabric. I’m pretty sure if I lived there that I would never have any money. One shop in particular is basically full of just beautifully drapey goodness that is rayon challis all for $2/yard. I couldn’t help myself and grabbed several yards. When Tami from Love Notions posted about the new pants and shorts pattern she was going to test, I knew exactly what I wanted to use some rayon challis for. These floral cropped pants were made with some of the rayon challis that I grabbed on my visit to LA.
During testing, Tami added a skirt option to go with the pattern. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the fit and comfort of these pants. The back patch pockets are large enough to hold my big phone too. The pattern consists of cropped pants, 9″ and 5″ shorts (hemmed or cuffed), and knee or ankle length skirts. Slant and patch pockets for the front and back, and a drawstring option for the waistband.
Grab the new Allegro pattern by Love Notions for $8 while it’s on sale! P.S. I’m also wearing the updated LDT in the picture above.
