I love a nice comfy woven pant. Especially as a mom of young kids, I’m all over the place and up and down a lot. I need something that can accommodate running around with my kids, or just going to the store. Having a pair of pants or shorts that I can throw on and know they will be comfortable like my yoga pants, but look more put together, is exactly what I need. Patterns for Pirates has fulfilled my wishes! Meet the Linen Loungers and Little Loungers.
When Judy posted about this pattern, I started looking around for some nice chambray fabric. I got this grey chambray from Cali Fabrics for a great price. I made the bermuda length for my son and me. I did the patch front pockets for mine, and the hidden slat pockets for my son. There’s also back patch pockets with the pattern too. You have the option of doing a woven or a knit waistband, with either waistband having an optional drawstring.
The pattern also comes with several different lengths. There’s are pants, capri, bermuda, and shorts lengths. The shorts can have cuffs, curved hem, and/or button tabs.
Recently when I was in Los Angeles, I picked up several yards of rayon challis. The print above is one that I grabbed while I was there. It worked perfectly for these capri pants with the hidden slat pockets. The pattern will be on sale until Sunday, July 23. There is a bundle with the kid’s and women’s pattern, or you can grab them separately. The final pattern round-up post can be found here. There’s also a blog post about hacks, so check that out too.
