When I first saw this pattern posted for testing, I thought it looked so complicated. Catherine assured us that it was an easy sew. Once I saw the instructions and got started, it really was a quick sew! I could easily make one in about 45 minutes, and made several during testing in very little time. The shirt has a unique twist on the front side that can either be twisted on the left, or the right. As usual the Tara twist is available in both Mama and girls, or bundle them together.
The Tara twist can be made either as a tank, or with sleeves. I made her top with 3/4 sleeves. There are short, 3/4, and long sleeves too. The sleeves can also be done with a split and twisted. The front piece can also easily be hacked and made as a plain front without the twist. For our floral shirts, I used a modal that I got from So Sew English Fabrics. The grey is a rayon spandex from a local shop. You can get the patterns individually, or bundled together with the girls and women’s pattern. The patterns are on sale for $7 each or bundled for $10, which is only available during the release with the sale ending on Sunday, July 30.
